Fire destroys 5-storey house in Hanoi

VOV.VN - At around 9:00 pm on February 7, a large fire broke out at a five-storey house located on 136 Tran Duy Hung Street in Hanoi, causing considerable damages.

Fortunately, no casualties have been reported.
According to a local witness, the blaze erupted suddenly on the first floor before quickly spreading throughout the building with flames and smoke swirling into the sky. 
17 fire engines and hundreds of firefighters were rapidly mobilized to combat the blaze as soon as the alarm was raised by the local authorities.
It took firefighters two hours to fully extinguish the fire. 
Functional forces had to break some of the glass windows and knock down walls for access to douse the fire.


All of the possessions within the property were damaged by the blaze.




The street area near the fire was a scene of chaos as curious locals gathered in crowds to follow what was going on. 


The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
