This year, Nielsen associates across cities visited orphans and nursing homes as well as centers for handicapped and disadvantaged people. Participants also prepared lunch and organized meaningful activities as well as delivering donations worth VND200 million in total raised by Nielsen associates and sponsors.

Nielsen Global Impact Day (NGID) is an annual worldwide event for all Nielsen associates in every region to come together and make an impact in the communities in which they live and work. This year, nearly 20,000 associates worldwide engaged in more than 1,000 registered volunteer activities in over 85 countries.

Nguyen Huong Quynh, managing director of Nielsen Vietnam, said in a statement that NGID is the time when Nielsen associates around the world, including in Vietnam, are encouraged to donate skills and time to help nonprofit organizations through in-kind giving or hands-on community projects.

“In Vietnam, each year we engage with nonprofit organizations such as the orphanage, nursing home and poor families. It’s our commitment to deliver pro bono projects and skills-based volunteering support to those nonprofits,” she added.

This year, the 5th Nielsen Global Impact Day received sponsors from Oishi (Liwayway), Pham Nguyen, TH True Milk and MediCare Vietnam.
