Weightlifter Tuan wins three golds at world champs

VOV.VN -Vietnamese weightlifter Thach Kim Tuan has bagged three gold medals in the men’s 56kg weight category at the ongoing World Weightlifting Championships in Anaheim, California, the US.

In the competition, Tuan lifted a total weight of 279 kg (126 kg for snatch and 153 kg for clean & jerk).

With an overall haul of 10 gold medals at world weightlifting events, Tuan is now among the top three athletes with the highest number of weightlifting gold medals in history. He came third, behind Wu Jingbiao of China (12 golds) and Long Qingquan of China (12 golds).
