BTV Cup Number 1 kicks off in Binh Duong province
The 18th Binh Duong Television International Football Cup Number 1 (BTV Cup Number 1) kicked off at Go Dau Stadium in the southern province of Binh Duong on January 25.

Five teams are participating in the tournament, including the host Becamex Binh Duong, V-League champions Quang Nam, Hoang Anh Gia Lai, Vasco de Gama from Brazil and Korean Students from the Republic of Korea.
The teams will compete in a round robin format with the top two qualifying for the final. The third and fourth squads will vie for the bronze medal.
The champions will get the Cup and a cash prize worth VND500 million (US$22,000), while the runner-ups and the third prize winners will receive VND300 million (US$13,200) and VND150 million (US$6,600), respectively.
The host Becamex Binh Duong beat Korean Students 3-1 in the second match after the opening ceremony.
Earlier, Hoang Anh Gia Lai defeated V-League champions Quang Nam 2-1 in the first match of the tournament, which will finish on February 4.
