Vietnamese master holds her lead at women’s blitz in China

VOV.VN - Vietnamese master Vo Thi Kim Phung remains in first place following her May 19 round No. 8 victory over Vaishali of India in the women’s blitz at the Asian Continental Chess Championships in Chengdu, China.

The Vnexpress Online Newspaper, has reported she handily defeated Vaishali adding seven points to her score, managing to maintain a small but solid lead atop the tournament leaders.

Master Nakhbayeva Guliskhan from Kazakhstan sits in the No. 2 spot with 6.5 points.

In the final round, Kim Phung will meet Gomes Mary Ann from India, and Guliskhan will face Hoang Thi Bao Tram from Vietnam.
