The Vietnamese delegation to the conference comprises representatives from the Vietnamese Embassy in the host country as well as experts from universities and social organisations.
It will attend a number of workshops, forums, exhibitions as well as cultural exchanges with the aim to popularise Vietnam’s image and people to international friends.
Speaking at the event, Vietnamese Ambassador to Indonesia Hoang Anh Tuan said there is a need to maintain village culture as globalisation and basic cultural values are the world’s concerns.
The ambassador said Vietnam considers that development and integration should be in line with respecting and preserving national identities.
The WVC is held to encourage the protection and development of ecosystems and village cultural values all over the world.
