Philippines to import 293,100 tons of Vietnam rice

VOV.VN - The Philippines has authorized the import of 293,100 metric tons of rice from Vietnam, per information released on October 10 by the Vietnam Food Association (VFA).

The Philippines' state grains procurement agency, the National Food Authority (NFA), already has government approval to buy another 805,200 metric tons of rice from foreign countries through February 2017.

The detailed breakdown includes 290,000 metric tons of rice from Thailand, 50,000 from China, India and Pakistan, 15,000 from Australia, 4,000 from El Salvador, and 293,100 from Vietnam.
