Cambodian people receive free health check-ups

(VOV) - More than 40 HCM City doctors provided medical check-ups and presented gifts to 700 Vietnamese nationals and disadvantaged Cambodians in Phnom Penh’s Meanchey and Russey Keo districts on January 11.

Nguyen Thi Hue, President of HCM City’s Red Cross Society noted it is the seventh time the society has provided free medical services for overseas Vietnamese in Cambodia.

The association expressed hope that its activities will contribute to improving the living conditions of Cambodia’s poor people and overseas Vietnamese.

It plans to work closely with other local agencies to help overseas Vietnamese access loans and successfully run their businesses.

On January 12, the doctors will travel to Sihanouk City, offering medical treatment and presenting 300 gifts to Vietnamese expatriates and Cambodian people.

Vietnamese doctors have conducted numerous working visits to support poor Cambodian people over the years.
