Vietnamese among top four spoken languages in Australia

Vietnamese is ranked fourth among 301 languages being used in Australia, according to the Australian Bureau of Statistics’ report on population survey in 2016.

English is the most common language in the country, followed by Mandarin Chinese and Arabic. Vietnamese and Cantonese Chinese shared the fourth place. 

According to statistics in 2016, there were more than 277,000 Vietnamese living in Australia, mostly in Victoria and New South Wales with about 103,000 people in each state.
