Vietnam, Argentina step up cooperation

(VOV) - A delegation from the Vietnamese embassy in Argentina led by ambassador Nguyen Dinh Thao paid a working visit to Mendoza from March 7-10 to expand cooperation in economics and trade between the two nations.

During the stay, the delegation met with Vice Governor of Mendoza Carlos Ciurca and ministers from relevant ministries in Argentina. They also attended a famous grape wine festival in Mendoza.

At the meetings, officials from Mendoza expressed admiration at the Vietnamese people’s struggle for national liberation, as well as the nation’s development achievements.

They also hoped to expand mutually beneficial cooperation with Vietnam in the fields of trade, land planning, environmental protection, tourism and culture.

General Director of ProMendoza Daniel Gonzalez - a private-public entity responsible for promoting the introduction of products and services from Mendoza to international markets - stated his organization’s willing to organize business forums and create favorable conditions for Vietnam to introduce cooperation potential with Mendoza businesses.

Both sides emphasized the need to boost cultural exchange and tourism activities to deepen mutual understanding and promote cooperative relations and investment.
