Quang Ninh welcomes more than 6 million visitors in five months

Of that figure, foreign arrivals surged by 12% to more than 2.17 million. Total tourism revenue for the five months is estimated at more than VND11 trillion, up 32% over last year.

In May alone, the province has implemented a number of activities under the framework of the National Tourism Year 2018 such as a beauty pageant, art programs to elevate the image of Ha Long, and exciting activities at Co To district in order to draw visitors to the province.

Quang Ninh has also expanded tourism routes and entertainment sites at districts and cities such as QuanLan and Minh Chau islands in Van Don district, a trans-Viet bike program,a street festival with highlighting MongCai tourism, a tennis tournament, and diverse art programs.

In addition, the province has continued to ramp up promotions for the National Tourism Year and paid special attention to improving the quality of tourism services, preserving the area’s natural heritages to turn QuangNinh into a favourite destination for visitors.

This year, the province expects to welcome 12 million visitors, including 5 million foreign arrivals and generate total tourism revenue of around VND22 trillion.
