Couple admits to smuggling drugs from China-to-Vietnam
VOV.VN - A couple have been arrested and charged with conspiring to smuggle drugs into the northern region of Vietnam from China, according to a post by the Tuoitre Online Newspaper.

Jailed are Nguyen Thai Son, 32, and his wife Hoang Thi Hoai Thu, 30, both residents of the district of Ngo Quyen in the city of Haiphong.
The police at the Mong Cai Border Gate took them into custody at roughly 3:30pm Tuesday (June 13) after 2.1 kilograms of synthetic drugs and 950 tablets of methamphetamine were discovered concealed in their luggage.
They admitted to attempting to smuggle the drugs and claimed each received US$900 (VND20 million) from unidentified Chinese men to carry the illicit contraband across the border.
