V-League placed 87th in world rankings
(VOV) - V-League is now one of the top 100 national leagues in the world rankings, according to the International Federation of Football History and Statistics (IFFHS).
Vietnam’s national tournament has been placed 87th in the world rankings and 3rd in Southeast Asia, behind Thailand (49th) and Malaysia (74th).
This is a surprising result for the country because after completing V-League 2012, the economic downturn has made some clubs dissolve.
In V-League’s history, it was once listed among the 50 strongest national leagues in the world in 2009.
