Japan Airlines marks 15th anniversary of flights to Hanoi

VOV.VN - Japan Airlines just celebrated 15 years of service between Tokyo and Hanoi, its first Vietnam destination.

Diplomats, government and aviation officials were joined June 28 at the airline’s Hanoi facilities by corporate and travel industry partners, customers along with airline employees for a ceremony in honour of the occasion.

At the ceremony, Shigeru Amakaway of Japan Airlines expressed his gratitude to all those millions of guests who had flown between the two cities over the past 15 years.

He also noted the airline operated dedicated cargo flights every week and had carried untold tons of freight on the route including garments, pharmaceuticals, fishery and other perishables.

Ms Nguyen Thi Thanh of Japan Airlines said that the capital city of Hanoi was an integral part of the airline’s global network, providing guests with ease of travel to Tokyo and destinations around the globe.

Our guests from Vietnam were offered a world class, award-winning service to hundreds of destinations with Japan Airlines and our affiliated airlines over the past 15 years, she said, noting the importance of the unique facilities and services offered that gave the airline the competitive edge.
