Four Vietnamese students from the Natural Sciences College under the Hanoi National University won prizes at the 15th International Mathematics Competition for University Students held in Bulgaria in early August, said the college’s rector, professor Bui Duy Cam.

Hoang Manh Hung was honoured with first prize, Le Phi Hung with second prize, and both Nguyen Hung Tien and Nguyen Manh Toan with third prize.

With 309 points, the Vietnamese team ranked 16th among 90 teams from 40 countries participating.

 

This is the first time Vietnam has participated in the contest.
