CPV: new viewpoints in personnel building

VOV.VN - The Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) has deployed the resolution and decree adopted at the 4th plenum of the 12th Party Central Committee on Party building and rectification.

The move aims to curb degradation in political ideology, morality, and lifestyle, discouraging “self-evolution” and “self-transformation” within the Party, and emulating President Ho Chi Minh’s thoughts, morality, and lifestyle.

The implementation of the resolution and decree shows a resolute determination of the Communist Party of Vietnam to strengthen and reform its organization in the new period.

Curbing degradation in political ideology

The resolution on Party building identifies the signs of political, moral, and lifestyle degradation, “self-evolution”, and “self-transformation” within the Party, and foresees serious consequences.

Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong said  “Together with specific tasks and measures to realize Party-building goals set at the 12th Congress, the 4th plenum introduced 4 groups of solutions to continue implementing the resolution of the 11th Congress. They focus on curbing degradation in political ideology, morality and lifestyle, “self-evolution”, and “self-transformation” within the Party. The resolution underscores Party building in combination with following President Ho Chi Minh’s thoughts, morality, and lifestyle.”

The resolution makes the study of political theory compulsory for all Party cells. It also calls for tightening Party disciplines and giving heads of organizations greater authority over and responsibility for the activities of their sub-ordinates and enhancing public oversight of Party building. The Party building resolution has matched other resolutions of the Party Central Committee, National Assembly, and Government to boost socio-economic development, safeguard national security, expand external relations, and strengthen people’s trust.

Following President Ho Chi Minh’s thought, morality, and lifestyle is a constant task

Decree 5 on emulating President Ho Chi Minh’s thoughts, morality, and lifestyle was intended to drastically change the awareness and action of the Party, political system, and people.

Member of the Politburo and Permanent Member of the Party Secretariat Dinh The Huynh said “Following President Ho Chi Minh’s thoughts, morality, and lifestyle is integrated in the action program of Party organizations at all levels. It should be combined with other patriotic emulation movements, building a cultural lifestyle, and promoting Vietnam’s values in the industrialization, modernization, and global integration process.”

In the new development period, the Communist Party of Vietnam has implemented new solutions to resolutely combat degradation to strengthen its leadership.
