Vietnam participates in Kolkata Int’l Book Fair
(VOV) - The 37th annual International Book Fair opened in Kolkata ciy in the heart of West Bengal, India on January 30.
Present at the inauguration of a Vietnamese book stall which was chaired by President of the India-Vietnam Solidarity Committee Geetesh Sharma are Shirshendu Mukhopadhyay, a prominent thinker of India, and Anup Kumar Matilal, Director of the Eastern Zonal Cultural Centre.
On display are many publications on Vietnam’s history and culture, literary and its Dien Bien Phu victory, as well as rare photographs of Late President Ho Chi Minh.
Scholars and high-ranking officials highly appreciated Vietnam’s literature, culture and history. They said the participation of Vietnam in the event will help bring Vietnam and India have closer ties.
