Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Thien Nhan received visiting Finnish Minister of Labour Anni Sinnemaki in Hanoi on September 6.

Deputy PM Nhan expressed his delight at the growing ties of fiendship and multifaceted cooperation in politics, diplomacy, economy, education, science and technology and labour between the two countries. 

He appreciated Finland’s cooperation with Vietnam in training human resources and proposed that the two countries move further towards signing an agreement on cooperation and acceptance of Vietnamese labourers to work in Finland’s timber industry, afforestation and nurseries in the near future. 

The Deputy PM expressed hopes that Finland would continue to help Vietnam eradicate hunger and reduce poverty, support farmers in remote areas, and assist disadvantaged children and war invalids. 

Minister Anni Sinnemaki affirmed that Finland is willing to share experiences and promote cooperation with Vietnam.
