Rare Vietnamese artwork hits the auction block
VOV.VN - The Lac Viet Auction Joint Stock Company has announced a sale of rare Vietnamese artwork will take place on May 28 in Hanoi.
It will include works by the five artists – Hoang Phuong Vy, Quach Dong Phuong, Dao Hai Phong, Pham Anh Dao and Le Thiet Cuong, – all of which are on the international market for the first time.
Including fine art, sculpture and design, the auction will offer pieces by these established artists and artisans dating back to the 19th century that could fetch prices in the tens of thousands of US dollars.
Registration and more information for the unique sale can be obtained by contacting the company at its offices in Hanoi by May 28, said Tran Quoc Khanh, who is in charge of organizing the auction.
This is a hugely exciting event with a lot of potential, he said, and expects it will attract about 40 bidders.
