Cambodian, Vietnamese top NA leaders meet

(VOV) -National Assembly (NA) Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung welcomed President of the Cambodian National Assembly Samdech Heng Samrin and the Cambodian delegation attending the 132nd Assembly of the Inter Parliamentary Union (IPU-132) in Hanoi.  

National Assembly (NA)Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung expressed his hope that the Cambodian delegation would actively contribute to the success of the IPU 132.

The top legislator congratulated the Cambodian people on their achievements, saying he believes Cambodia will continue to reap fruits in socio-economic construction and development under the leadership of Cambodian King Norodom Sihamoni as well as the country’s Government and Parliament. 

He noted that the cooperation between the two nations is growing across politics, diplomacy, economics, culture, society, science and technology, and all-level delegation exchanges have been strengthened.

Heng Samrin – who is also Chairman of the Solidarity Front for the Development of Cambodia – congratulated Vietnam on hosting the IPU-132 Assembly and applauded the country’s preparations for the parliamentary event. 

The two NA leaders expressed their wish to effectively carry out cooperation agreements between the two parliaments, especially in maintaining delegation exchanges, sharing law-making experience and supervising cooperation programmes between the two governments to propel the neighbourliness, friendship and sustainable and comprehensive cooperation.
