"Education is the right of every child. It should be free and fair, with equal access for girls and boys," says Miss Perry.

“I am grateful to UNICEF for giving me the opportunity to see first-hand how its programmes make a real difference in children’s lives. Support for UNICEF is saving children. I am a witness to it.”

She says the role of UNICEF in children’s education is built upon the strong commitment to ensure that all children – regardless of gender, ethnicity, socioeconomic background or circumstances – realize their right to a quality education.
