Plan to mark VPA’s 70th anniversary announced

The Defense Ministry of Vietnam has approved a plan to host a ceremony in the lead up to the 70th anniversary of the Vietnam People’s Army (VPA) and 25th anniversary of All People's National Defense Festival, December 22nd.
The celebration is designed to review the glorious history of the Vietnam People’s Army through which to encourage national pride, the spirit of self-help for self-improvement, and solidarity for the entire party, army, and people.
Radio the Voice of Vietnam (VOV) will broadcast live the ceremony which will transire in Hanoi on December 20th.
Earlier on December 12, an exhibition featuring books, newspapers, and photos about the Vietnam People’s Army opened in Thai Nguyen province. On display are more than 1,000 books, 200 paper articles, and 50 photos recording the construction and development of the Vietnamese military forces, President Ho Chi Minh, and General Vo Nguyen Giap.
