Schindler to launch first showroom in Vietnam

On June 20, Schindler Vietnam Ltd., a company jointly owned by Jardine Matheson and Schindler Group, organised the opening ceremony for the first Schindler Showroom in Vietnam, at 38 Huynh Lan Khanh street, Ward 2, Ho Chi Minh City’s Tan Binh district.

The event crowns Schindler Vietnam’s 20-year development journey in the sector of elevator and escalator installation and maintenance, and simultaneously marks the expansion of Schindler’s operations in Vietnam to realise the target of becoming the country’s leading elevator and escalator provider.

The showroom is considered the final piece of the Jardine Schindler Training Centre, which is the first elevator and escalator professional training centre in Vietnam. The showroom will not only be the bridge between Schindler’s marketing division and its partners to discuss new projects, but also a place for customers to experience the designs and functions of Schindler's latest line of products at an interactive and creative space.

In addition, Schindler Vietnam will display the most modern technology solutions, including the Personal Occupant Requirement Terminal (PORT) Technology—a groundbreaking innovation for building transportation.

Ta Huy Vu, general director of Schindler Vietnam, stated that the Schindler showroom will be an important base to connect customers, ensuring a place where they can sample the products as well as receive consultancy to pick the best fitting products for their projects.

The showroom is located inside the Jardine Schindler Training Centre, which is equipped with four elevator shafts to train engineers and field technicians on the latest installation methods, maintenance processes, and safety standards. The centre provides over 700 training courses per year for 2,800 technicians, supervisors, contractors, and project managers.

“The Schindler Showroom is a symbol for the long-term commitment of Schindler in Vietnam, professing to the ambition to deeply understand Vietnamese customers’ demand and bring them satisfaction,” said Phan Thanh Duc, business director of Schindler Vietnam.

Schindler Vietnam Limited was established in 1996 and is the Vietnamese operation of the Switzerland-based Schindler Group, a leading global provider of elevators, escalators, and related services.
