The Vietnam national chess team will take part in the 37th Chess Olympiad due to be held in the Italian city of Turin from May 21 to June 4.
The chess team to Italy includes 13 members, among whom are chess expert Antoni and general secretary of the Vietnam Chess Federation Dang Tat Thang.
Participants in the Olympiad will compete in team events, with four tables for men and three for women, and 13 games for each table.
Vietnam aims to rank itself in the men’s top 30 and women’s top 10, said Mr Thang.
