The Bach Dang Shipyard successfully launched a 13,500-tonne oil tanker, VINASHIN SEA, on December 31. This is the largest of its kind in Vietnam, measuring 145.3m long, 20.8m wide and 11.2m high.

After the launch, the Bach Dang Shipyard started to build a 22,500-tonne cargo ship No. 1 for the Vietnam Marine Corporation and a 10,500-tonne ship No. 2 for the Japanese NOMA Company.
