Football matches mark Japan-Vietnam Friendship Year

(VOV) - To celebrate their two countries’ 40th anniversary of diplomatic ties, a selection of Japanese and Vietnamese U12 football teams will play friendly matches in Hanoi on August 3-4.

The matches, co-organised by the Vietnam Football Federation and the Vietnam Youth Football Training Centre, are also part of marking the 2013 Japan-Vietnam Friendship Year.

Six teams will compete according to a draw split between A and B groups: U12 PVF, U12 FFAV, U12 Viettel, U12 Hanoi and the Japanese teams Hotts Blue and Hotts White.

Each team may register a maximum of seven official players and five substitutes. Matches run for two 15 minute halves.

A preparatory technical meeting will take place on August 2.
