Kien Giang martyrs’ remains repatriated from Cambodia

(VOV) - A ceremony was held in Kien Giang province’s Hon Dat district on July 26 to inter remains of volunteer Vietnamese soldiers and experts who laid down their lives during the past wars in Cambodia.

The provincial search team (K92 Kien Giang) had searched, collected and repatriated 85 sets of remains of Vietnamese soldiers from Cambodia during the 2012-2013 dry season.

Among them, 10 sets were sent to their families in Tay Ninh province for reburial.

Since 2001, the K92 team has collaborated with Cambodian authorities to comb through Kep, Kampot, Sihanouk and Koh Kong provinces for the remains, and it has found a total of 1,748 sets so far.
