Party chief welcomes new Cuban Ambassador

The Cuban diplomat thanked Vietnam for its solidarity and great support for her nation and pledged her best efforts to make positive contributions to reinforcing the special relations between Vietnamese and Cuban parties, governments and people.

The Party chief said he hopes  Lianys Torres Rivera will make strong contributions to Vietnam – Cuba traditional relations and all-around cooperation.

This year marks 45 years since Cuba’s revolutionary leader Fidel Castro first visited Vietnam, Trong stated while saying this could be an opportune occasion to educate people about the special ties between their countries.

At the meeting, the Party leader also extended his greetings to First Secretary of the Cuban Communist Party Raul Castro and other Cuban Party and State leaders.
