Vietnam attends charitable fair in Egypt

(VOV) - The Vietnamese Embassy joined nearly 20 other countries in attending a charitable fair in Egypt on November 3.

The Vietnamese stand showcasing traditional products and introducing the country's land, people and culture has attracted a large number of visitors.

International friends have proven particularly interested in ceramic and wooden handicraft products, Ao dai (traditional long dress), and Dong Ho paper paintings as well as traditional food like spring rolls.

Nguyen Thi Phu, a representative from the Vietnamese Diplomatic Women Association in Cairo, said Vietnam often participates in similar annual events.

This year's fair aims to raise funds for victims of the tsunami and earthquake in Japan,  victims of regional natural disasters, as well as poor children and the disabled in Egypt.
