Vietnamese badminton duo Nguyen Tien Minh and Nguyen Quang Minh lost 21-17, 16-21, 21-15 at the second round of the Aviva Open Singapore on June 6.
On June 5, Tien Minh and Quang Minh took only 25 minutes to defeat hosts Johnathan Tang/Zi Liang Derek Wong 21-15, 21-16.
Tien Minh and Quang Minh kicked off their singles match on June 7. Tien Minh, who reaches the highest ranking in the world for a Vietnamese player at 47th, played with Przemyslaw Wacha of Poland, while his teammate Quang Minh, who holds 155th position in the world’s rating, competed with Erwin Kehlhoffner from France.
