From the beginning of the year to May 13, Vietnam and China identified 88 marker positions, planted 33 main markers and two minor markers, and demarcated 136.17km of the Vietnam-China borderline.


Since the demarcation started, the two countries has identified 1,175 out of 1,573 marker positions, designed and placed 145 minor markers, planted 1,026 markers, including 865 main markers and 161 minor markers, and demarcated 1,034km of the common borderline.


In the meantime, Vietnam and Cambodia plan to place three new markers: marker 313 at the Xa Xia bordergate in southern Kien Giang province, marker 69 at the Hoa Lu bordergate in southern Binh Phuoc province and another marker at the Xa Mat bordergate in southern Tay Ninh province.
