The festival will be held in Ho Chi Minh City from December 8-12, attracting 29 domestic and foreign production companies with 99 films in four categories: feature films, documentaries, scientific films and cartoons.
The news was released at a press briefing in Ho Chi Minh City on November 25, which was held by the HCM City’s Department of Cinematography and the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
Seven film companies from China, Laos, Cambodia, Russia, the Republic of Korea, the US and Poland are expected to attend the festival.
The event aims to acknowledge the Vietnamese film industry’s achievements and honour the artists who have contributed to the industry’s development.
During the festival, a wide range of cultural activities, seminars, talks and meetings between artists and audiences will take place.
