The insignia was handed over by VUFO President Vu Xuan Hong at a ceremony in Hanoi on July 20 to honour Ambassador Saynhachac’s contributions to the special friendship and comprehensive cooperation between the two countries.

During more than her four-year tenure Ms Saynhachac actively helped strengthen Vietnam-Lao relationship, Hong said, adding that on the basis of fine political ties, bilateral cooperation in economics, trade, culture, education, national defence and security will continue to grow and flourish.

Hong noted that Ms Saynhachac had instructed the Lao Embassy in Vietnam to partner with VUFO and the Vietnam-Laos Friendship Association to organise an array of activities to help young people of the two countries engage in exchanges and more deeply understand the history of revolutions, as well as the relations between the two countries.

In reply, the Lao Ambassador promised to continue her contributions to strengthening the special friendship and comprehensive cooperation between the two countries.
