On March 17, Seabank reduced its interest rates by 0.1 percent for some terms. Previously, Eximbank and Kien Long Bank had also lowered its interest rates for mobilizing the US dollar by 0.1 percent – 0.25 percent for all terms following an improvement in US$ supply sources.

Last week, the International Finance Company sold 110 million US dollars to Vietcombank.

This is the largest amount of foreign currency that Vietcombank has bought for the past many months.

Several foreign banks have also offered more US dollars on the interbank market.
