Vung Tau to host Pro Tour tennis tournament

The first Vietnam Tennis Federation Pro Tour 1 will be organised in Vung Tau city, the southern province of Ba Ria-Vung Tau from January 28 to February 2.

Some 100 players have registered for the event, which will have four categories -- men’s and women’s singles and doubles.

The men’s singles winner will take home VND40 million (US$1,800), while the women’s singles winner will get VND30 million (US$1,300).

The men’s doubles champions will win VND10 million (US$450), and the female champions will receive VND8 million (US$360).

The matches from quarter-final onwards will be aired live on television.
