Nearly 100 volunteer university students in the central province of Quang Binh arrived in Tram Me village, Son Trach commune, Bo Trach district province on October 24 to help local people decontaminate the area after the devastating floods.

The students joined local youths and used shovels and hoes to clear bushes around the wharves to make them more open and safer.

The volunteers also delivered a variety of goods to aid the victims of the recent floods.

The same day, the Liaison Board for people coming from the central province of Ha Tinh organized a fundraiser to support flood victims in central Vietnam. The board collected more than VND350 million, 500 bags of food worth VND80 million, and many clothes, books and notebooks to help people in the flood-hit areas.
