The Ho Chi Minh City Union of Trade Cooperatives (Saigon Co-op) will launch a month-long sales promotion campaign on August 31 to encourage consumers to use Vietnamese products.

Saigon Co-op Deputy General Director Tran Thi Kim Quyen says the campaign – the longest of its kind this year – will attract 150 domestic companies offering goods worth more than VND40 billion in total. The Co-op will organise 32 mobile sales promotions to 7 outlying districts and 5 industrial parks and export processing zones in the city.

“Goods suppliers have made a profit from previous sales promotion. This means suppliers as well as consumers have benefited from such a campaign,” says Ms Quyen. “This is why the number of suppliers registering for sales promotion has increased regularly.”
