KOICA helps Vietnam with green growth strategy

(VOV) - The Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) will provided Vietnam with US$2 million from 2013-2014 to help the country implement its green growth strategy.

The green growth strategy is considered a major driving force during Vietnam’s Doi Moi (Renewal)  process, focusing on low carbon growth, green production, green lifestyle and the creation of a policy matrix.

Under a Record of Discussion signed in conjunction with the Vietnamese Ministry of Industry and Trade in Hanoi on November 9, the Republic of Korea will share its experience and its own green growth policies by offering training courses for Vietnamese staff.

Kim In, KOICA Chief Representative in Vietnam, highlighted the significance of Vietnam’s green growth strategy, noting it is the first of its kind for developing countries selected by his agency.
