Vietnamese in Moscow celebrate Children’s Day

The Vietnamese community in Russia held a wide range of activities to mark International Children’s Day (June 1).

Businesspeople who are members of a charitable fund associated with the Moscow Commercial Centre held an exchange for Vietnamese children living in Moscow and surrounding areas.

The participants were treated to a special art performance presented by Russian and Vietnamese children, and all children attending the event received gifts such as books, notebooks, coloured pencils and paintbrushes.

The charitable fund members also displayed Vietnamese handicrafts, traditional costumes and pictures of Vietnam and its people to introduce the country’s culture to Russian friends.
