An Italian film festival entitled “Fresh Italian Horizons” opened in Hanoi on April 12.

Among movies to be shown are “The New World” by director Emanuele Crialese and “A Friend of The Family” by Paolo Sorrentino.

The festival is part of a larger cultural programme themed “Italian rainbow in Vietnam”, which aims to provide Vietnamese with an insight into Italy, its land and people, said Italian Ambassador to Vietnam Matacotta Cordella.

Film buffs in Ho Chi Minh City will also have the chance to enjoy the Italian cinematic works, during the week of April 21-28.
