UN Secretary General Ban Ki Moon extended his warmest congratulations to President Nguyen Minh Triet on the occasion of the 65th National Day of Vietnam (September 2).
In his message, the UN leader affirmed that "With your support, we can meet the threats of our time and build a more prosperous, equitable and sustainable world for all."
He also expressed his hope that all the UN members will mobilise their collective energies to meet the Millennium Development Goals by 2015.
