Electronics giant Samsung said it had launched a series of its latest printers and LCD displays in Vietnam to target the country’s booming business sector.

Samsung Vietnam general director Sang Youl Eom said that strong consumer growth in the country has made it an attractive market for technology firms, adding that such changes are creating new opportunities for Samsung.

Last year, Samsung targeted local businesses for its laptop and colour laser printers, and saw a growth rate of 36 percent in the Vietnamese market.

The company said its PC monitors are the best seller in Vietnam, accounting for 65 percent of the company’s revenue in the market, followed by hard disks (20 percent), and optical drives and printers (15 percent).
