State President Nguyen Minh Triet urged the Party committees of centrally-governed agencies and businesses on August 12 to provide forecasts and suggestions for the Government to issue appropriate policies.
Speaking with the Party committees in Hanoi to discuss main tasks for the rest of 2008, Mr Triet said that they should always be aware of their responsibilities to supervise and manage a large number of party members.
He also instructed committees to concentrate on building the Party and strengthening the ideological and political foundations for party cells, so that they can play their role and implement grassroots democratic regulations.
The committees should continue to implement the campaign to study and follow President Ho Chi Minh’s virtues while following his ideology, Mr Triet added.
The President also advised central Government agencies to enhance consulting capacity and make plans and macro policies on socio-economic development. Meanwhile businesses should take the lead in implementing policies to stablise the market in the current situation.
