Representatives of the Vietnamese Embassy and the Association of Overseas Vietnamese in Cambodia visited and presented gifts to underprivileged ethnic Vietnamese living in Kompong Chnang province's Bo Ri Bo district on July 11.

Counselor of the Embassy and head of the delegation, Nguyen Van Hua, said that State President Nguyen Minh Triet had sent his gifts worth thousands of US dollars to more than 100 poor families in the three provinces of Kompong Chnang, Po Sat and Kompong Thom.

On behalf of overseas Vietnamese in Kompong Chnang province, Vu Huu Hai said he was moved to see the Vietnamese Government pay much attention to ethnic Vietnamese living abroad. The gifts would be a great encouragement to Vietnamese people in Compong Chnang in particular and in Cambodia in general, he added.
