Vietnam Airlines adds 54,000 seats to meet Tet travel demands

VOV.VN -Vietnam Airlines will be adding over 54,000 additional seats, the equivalent of nearly 230 flights, to domestic air routes from January 20 to February 2 2019, December 15 to January 15 in the lunar calendar, aiming to meet travel demand during the Lunar New Year Festival (Tet) holiday.

The airline will increase seats on popular routes that enjoy high demand such as Hanoi and HCM City to Phu Quoc and HCM City to Danang, Haiphong, Thanh Hoa, Vinh, Hue, Quang Nam, Quy Nhon and Dalat.

Domestic air routes themselves will be significantly increased compared to the regular schedule, with flights from HCM City to Thanh Hoa up by 75%, to Hue up by 41% and to Quang Nam up by 32%.

During peak times, Vietnam Airlines has advised passengers to purchase tickets from the official website or through designated travel agents to avoid fake or overpriced tickets.

Passengers are being advised to complete all check-in formalities via the airline’s official website, mobile application or at the kiosk check-in at Tan Son Nhat, Noi Bai and Danang airports in order to save time increase efficiency.
