Sixty medical teams will be on duty at the city’s major venues during the grand millennial celebrations of Thang Long-Hanoi, said Luong Ngoc Khue, deputy head of the medical subcommittee of the organizing committee.

The teams will be deployed en mass during the grand parade on October 10. Each team consists of two doctors, one ambulance, and first aid equipment.

Khue said that all emergency transport plans have been taken into account and the preparations for food safety have also been completed.

For the October 10 parade, 30,000 meals will be available and the organizers have asked the suppliers to take samples for examination.

During the event, each hospital will reserve 20 beds for emergencies and patients who fall ill during the grand ceremony.
