The InnovGreen Nghe An Co. Ltd has presented more than 220,000 acacia trees to Con Cuong, Tuong Duong and Que Phong mountainous districts in central Nghe An province to help them green bare hills.
InnovGreen has also instructed farmers in those beneficiary districts on how to apply advanced afforesting techniques, which help acacia grow faster.
As planned, InnovGreen in Nghe An will invest more than US$60 million in developing concentrated timber material forests for pulp supply on 70,000 ha in Quy Chau, Que Phong, Tuong Duong and Ky Son districts.
It also plans to build wood processing establishments in a bid to generate jobs for rural and remote local people to help them improve their lives.
