Japanese professor praised for contributions to Vietnam

(VOV) - Vice State President Nguyen Thi Doan has appreciated the contributions made by Professor Tanaka, head of University Dental School in Japan, to improving the lives of cleft palate patients in Vietnam.

At her reception honouring Prof. Tanaka, Doan thanked the Japanese Cleft Palate Association and Foundation for their valuable assistance to Vietnam over the years.

Doan, in her capacity as Vietnam Children Support Fund Chairwoman, expressed hopes for closer cooperation and support from the two Japanese organisations.

Prof. Tanaka pledged even more help to Vietnamese patients in the future, stressing his desire to assist children with disabilities. He hoped that his work, and the work of his colleagues, will further strengthen the friendship between Vietnam and Japan.
