In the upcoming 1,000th Thang Long-Hanoi Cup, the Vietnamese team will compete with foreign football teams such as U23 Australia, U23 Kuwait, and the national team of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK).

In particular, the DPRK’s team will bring 14 football players who attended the World Cup 2010 to Vietnam.

The tournament has been supported by Thai Son Corporation, Saigon Beer Alcohol Beverage Corporation and Saigon Trading Equipment Joint Stock Company.

The champion team will receive a prize worth US$20,000, and the second and the third places will be awarded prizes valued at US$10,000 and US$5,000, respectively.

The 1,000th Thang Long-Hanoi Cup will be held at My Dinh National Stadium on September 20-24. The matches will be broadcast live on VTV2 and other local channels.
