No new measles cases reported in 25 provinces and cities
(VOV) - No measles fatalities or incidences of measles were reported in 25 provinces and cities nationwide, the Preventive Health Department under the Ministry of Health (MoH) reported on May 4.
The MoH said that the country has recorded 4,030 cases of measles out of 14,661 suspected cases since the beginning of the year across 62 out of 63 provinces and cities nationwide.
At present, 268 patients are being treated at the National Hospital of Paediatrics, 83 at Hanoi’s Bach Mai Hospital and 100 at the National Hospital of Tropical Diseases.
The Preventive Health Department affirmed that until May 4, the rate of measles immunization coverage across the country has reached 85.3%.
The MoH continues to ask localities and cities, especially high-risk areas to carry out vaccination campaigns for children aged two to ten.
